Frequently asked questions
Do these image tools upload my photo to a server?
No. Every tool processes images locally using the Canvas API in your browser. Your photo is never sent over the network — you can verify this in your browser's Network tab.
Why convert HEIC to JPG?
iPhones save photos in the HEIC format by default, but most Indian government portals (UPSC, SSC, IBPS, CBSE) accept only JPG / JPEG. Converting to JPG ensures the upload is accepted.
Is masking my Aadhaar with this tool truly safe?
The masking is applied as a flat overlay to the image pixels — once you download, the masked region cannot be recovered from the output file. As with any local tool, ensure you only share the masked output (never the original).
What aspect ratios does the cropper support?
Free crop, 1:1 (square), 3:4 (portrait), 4:3 (landscape), and 35:45 which matches Indian passport photo proportions.
Can I combine more than one signature with my photo?
The Photo + Signature Sheet tool combines exactly one of each. If you need multiple signatures, run the tool twice and use the output as the photo input on the second run.
